About This Tour

When Rome turns golden and Trastevere's cobblestones start to glow, that's your cue. Narrow alleys, family-run trattorias, street food stands, wine bars older than the Colosseum, and a guide who knows the story behind all of it. This intimate small-group tour takes you through the neighborhood on foot, eating your way from the Tiber Island to the best gelato in Rome.

With up to 12 guests, you'll have skip-the-line access to spots that are hard to get into on your own, with good company and even better food.

Important Note: Every departure features 6–7 delicious stops through the charming streets of Trastevere, and every tour always includes a pizza tasting, a delicious sit-down pasta dinner, and authentic Italian gelato, along with other local specialties.
Some itineraries may include renowned local favorites such as Spirito Divino or Da Enzo, however these restaurants are not included on every departure, and stops may vary based on availability to ensure the best possible experience

Your tour starts on Rome's only river island, where your guide sets the scene while the Tiber flows on both sides. Cross the ancient Ponte Cestio into Trastevere and feel the whole neighborhood begin to come alive.
3
Stop
Skip the line at the most iconic Trattoria in Rome since 1935. Toast with DOC prosecco and savor typical Roman specialties that have barely changed in a century (closed on Sundays; included on select departures only, depending on availability).
4
Stop
Step down into a wine cellar that predates the Colosseum by 160 years. You'll sip local wine and taste a recipe said to date back to Julius Caesar's Rome, inside a space that feels like genuine time travel (included on select departures only, depending on availability).
5
Stop
Meet Trastevere's undisputed king of porchetta. You'll taste slow-roasted pork tucked into white pizza, washed down with a cold beer. The kind of street food pairing that needs invites a second bite.
6
Stop
The supplì is Rome's essential street food: a fried rice ball, crispy on the outside and perfectly molten in the middle. You'll taste it at a hole-in-the-wall institution that's been feeding this neighborhood for decades.
7
Pass By
We’re now in Trastevere’s main piazza, the lively heart of the neighborhood. Take a look around and soak in the beautiful buildings and vibrant atmosphere.
8
Stop
Time to sit down properly. You'll settle in for a real pasta dinner at a neighborhood trattoria, with two classic Roman preparations (Amatriciana and Gricia) and a generous pour of local wine. Sit back and savor the flavors that have defined Roman kitchens for centuries.
9
Stop
You'll finish at the gelateria that brought gourmet gelato to Rome. Your guide explains how to tell the real thing from a tourist imitation, and then hands you a scoop so you can taste the difference yourself.
